You don’t need to spend $3,000 to have a crisp, high quality Instagram. Lucky for you—there’s an app for that! In fact, there are quite a few great apps for that!

Little known fact—social media marketers have hacks to make photos look amazing! Who knew!?

Here are some of our personal favorites…

VSCO

The best free (or paid) photo editing app for your phone that isn’t Adobe! VSCO has a beautiful, timeless interface with a vast editing suite complete with numerous filters and sliders to make sure every photo you post not only looks like it was taken by a professional, but all of the colors and lighting is cohesive through your whole feed.

Snapseed

With an intricate setup much like VSCO, Snapsneed also provides a medley of features the standard Instagram options doesn’t offer. You can even create a filter template to slap on all future photos for ultimate branding! Imagine all the headache and time you’ll be saving when you don’t have to remember the exact hue and saturation numbers for each photo.

Canva

It’s a classic. Canva not only has some base editing features, but it provides exact dimensions not only for perfect Instagram posts, but all social media! If you’re looking to make some high quality, eye-catching quote graphics or even a meme, Canva would be a wonderful place to start. Its simple interface allows you to add text, borders, lines, and shapes, to name a few, with a breeze. With its features, you can also create a team and collaborate with your other colleagues on graphic design projects!

SquareSized

Remember that time you took a beautiful photo but forgot to slide your camera option to square? Even though Instagram forces you into those specific dimensions, SquareSized fixes all of your proportion problems for you so you don’t have to worry. It smartly adds borders and adjusts your image to be sure everything important still remains the focus of your expert photography.

Long story short: don’t just post on Insta randomly without thinking, even though it is so easy to! Take the time to jump the quality of your feed way way up by taking a few minutes to curate each photo.

Editing photos can be fun and addictive… sometimes it’s a nice mental break to perfect the color on your photo instead of analyzing the reach of hashtags into oblivion. Treat them kindly and uniquely, because they are (sometimes) the literal face of your brand! It’s what people see first, always remember that!
